OFAB, short for "Over 40 and Beautiful", was established and incorporated in July, 2002. Many people ask where I came up with the name, OFAB? The funny thing is that it actually came about when I was treating myself to a pair of fabulous sunglasses at Marshal Fields (now Macy's) and the sales girl just kept telling me how they just looked so "FAB....O...Fab!!" She kept repeating it so much that it became a funny story that I would relay to my friends and family. Yes, of course I bought the sunglasses! I began playing with the letters and that's how "OFAB" (Over 40 and Beautiful!) came about.

My Mission Statement was apparent after experiencing my own problems and concerns with menopause. It hit with a vengence! I didn't understand WHAT was happening to me. I started exhibiting symptoms so unfamiliar and frightening to me and unfortunately, at the time, had a Dr (male) who just wanted to shove anti-depressants at me each visit. Eventually after finding a wonderful (woman) Dr., I found it was the dreadful menopause phase of life! I felt I had no where to turn and had no idea that it can take on SO many different forms in women. When I finally got it all under control, I felt compelled to help others in ANY way that I could. Starting OFAB gave me that opportunity. In September of 2002, I had opened a Fitness Center for Ladies over forty. Fitness and healthy eating are VITAL! After that, I became intrigued with anti-aging skincare, knowing that every lady that will go thru this will experience changes in their skin. I was over 50 by the time I actually got certified as a Cosmotologist and opened a Day Spa. I found a new mission where I could help educate ladies on how to fight aging skin with certain daily regiments.

Customizing skincare products became my focus since I could treat EACH woman in a way that was unique to her. A daily program combined with seasonal facials and treatments can make all the difference in the world! I myself use these products and although I have since moved on to other business ventures, this line of skincare will remain near and dear to me. I would never give up this skincare line since I intend to use it the rest of my life.
